Terms of service

Using the service
Make Taksh gives you a public maker hub and an embeddable badge. You may install the badge on any site you own or have permission to modify. You may not modify the script to misrepresent what it does, or install it somewhere to imply an endorsement that doesn't exist.
Your account and username
Accounts are created with Google sign-in. Usernames are first come, first served. We reserve the right to reclaim a handle that impersonates a person or organisation, or that squats a trademark — and to refuse a handle that reads as official.
Handles are not recycled on deletion, because badges already installed in the wild point at them and someone else inheriting that traffic would be a genuine problem for whoever installed them.
Your content
Your name, bio, links and photo stay yours. You grant us only what we need to display them: the right to serve them publicly on your hub and through your badge. You are responsible for what you link to.
We'll remove content that's illegal, malicious, or links to malware or phishing, and we'll close the account behind it.
Free and Pro
The free plan includes up to 3 project links, all 24 badge palettes, your hub, and no Make Taksh branding on the badge. It is not a trial and it does not expire.
Pro is a one-time payment of $19 for unlimited links, custom colours and custom label text. There is no subscription and no renewal. Prices may change for new purchases; yours won't be charged again either way.
Refunds
Email maketaksh@gmail.com within 14 days of buying Pro and we'll refund it in full. After that, ask anyway — we're reasonable.
Uptime, and what we actually promise
We don't offer an SLA. What we do offer is a failure mode: if the profile API is down or the script can't load, the badge renders nothing and your page is exactly as it was. It is built so that our bad day is never your bad day.
The service is provided “as is”, and our liability is limited to what you paid us — which for most people is nothing.
Ending it
Delete your account whenever you like by emailing us; your badges go quiet. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and we'll say why when we do.
